SHARON OSBOURNE's Missing Wedding Ring May Have Been Found
July 20, 2011According to The Star, British detectives are still trying to verify whether a diamond ring found during a police raid in South Yorkshire is Sharon Osbourne's wedding band, which has been missing for nearly seven years.
The Osbourne family home in Buckinghamshire was raided in November 2004 and jewelry worth over 1 million was stolen including Sharon's wedding ring, which was taken from her bedside table as she slept.
Sharon's husband Ozzy was disturbed by the intruders and chased one of them before grappling with him as he tried to flee through a window at the couple's 3 million mansion.
"I acted on impulse," Ozzy told the BBC in a 2004 interview. "In hindsight, it could have been a lot worse. It could've got really ugly. . . I could have been badly injured or shot or anything. I just thank God that no-one got injured."
"It was so shocking, not because of the sentimental things that were taken," Sharon told Mirror.co.uk. "It's the fact that someone came into the house.
"Can you imagine being asleep and someone coming to the side of your bed, taking your rings from the side of your bed as you sleep?
"Every drawer has been opened, everything has been looked at, for God's sake. You feel dirty. It is heartbreaking when you lose your wedding rings ... but I thank God that my husband is fine."
